Writing

Policy & Procedure

I took an Ontario law and removed the legalese and jargon. What was a near-40 page document turned into a 20 page user-friendly guide.

Communications Strategy

A press release for a local Toronto church for their spring 2022 charity sale. It's not bad.

A subscriber's email newsletter for those interested in Toronto's Gardiner Museum. (In partnership with Alexandra Hoare; check out the great work she does!)

Web Copywriting & Social Media

A swathe of content for a faux shaving business I created called "Polaris." Included:

  • "About us" section

  • Social media posts

  • Blog

  • Product descriptions

  • Sample client email

A social media audit I performed, with the subject being the social media efforts of Kent of Inglewood, a shaving and blade store based in Calgary, AB.

Social media strategy, again based on the workings of Kent of Inglewood.

Social media calendar.

Instructional & Technical Communications

A user persona created for technical communications.

An audience analysis.

A presentation/lesson for safety razor shaving, done on PowerPoint. A bit of fun.

Report Writing

Presentation & speeches

A report and data analysis pertaining to the gross over-imprisonment of Indigenous women in Canada. A difficult, but important write.

A case study written with Alexandra Hoare about Facebook's (dubious) re-branding effort as "Meta."

A PowerPoint slide deck for a speech re: labelling alcohol with cancer warnings.

The speech, along with creative brief re: the above, discussing audience and talking points, etc.

Blog Writing

A screenshot for a blog about Advent

A blog penned (via "Yes We AngliCAN!") for a project in coordination with the Anglican Church of Canada (first of three). Published under the ACC's Ministry Matters banner, this one is about the season of Advent.

A screenshot for a blog about Saint Joseph

The second of three published under the ACC's Ministry Matters banner, this one is about St Joseph, earthly foster father of Jesus.

The final of three. This one is about St Gabriel, the (arch)angel (self-published by "Yes We AngliCAN!").
